When I saw the patterns we were given, I saw several things that it could turn into. However rather than thinking of something random to do, I looked at these patterns/lines and thought about what it means to me. I thought of several ways to use these patterns, I saw fishes, unicorns, water splashes, blazing fire, etc. However I decided to use these patterns as a concept piece. These patterns are just lines, but lines to me is all about connection, progress. That is where the idea generated and I decided to make the focus of this "Progress"

Man kind has come long ways in terms of technology and knowledge. We managed to reach the moon, we managed to create things that makes daily life easier, we are able to understand the world/universe better. All this is progress, however we started with the simple things this planet had to offer, we built upon them and created great wonders. One word, progress. The piece is about our rise in this planet, working with the ideas and sparks, nature presented to us. Hence the title is "Rising Spark"

I used the patterns as we were instructed, but I also used the patterns freely all over the piece to add more to it.
